Benchmark
To get the best results, we need a physical benchmark product. There must be a physical benchmark product so that both you and the manufacturer can all agree on the important aspects of the formulation, such as texture, thickness, scent.
Product Brief
A product brief is a document that contains all the information about the product you want to create. A clear product brief allows for quick communication with the manufacturer, so you must write a detailed product brief. The request should include essential information such as product name, main concept (ingredients and benefits), desired target cost, product quantity, product format/formulation, functional attributes, desired claim. Manufacturers
Selecting and communicating with manufacturers and comparing samples can be difficult. Crescent Seoul selects the best manufacturers in Korea tailored to the product you are developing. Also, Crescent Seoul has existing business with them, we know the prices well and can get competitive prices.
Packaging
Specification
Packaging specification must also be decided before product production. You must decide not only the product formulation but also how you will receive the finished goods. How will you pack it? Should you pack it one box at a time or bundle it into four? Will they be individually wrapped? How to label the box? All the information needs to be contained as a document “packaging spec”. Crescent Seoul can also help with that.
Testing
Once the formulation and the packaging is finalized, then the manufacturer performs various tests to control quality. It includes stability testing, compatibility testing, microbial testing, challenge testing. Among them, compatibility test ,usually called CT, is a process which checks whether the packaging and formulation match each other and whether there are no other issues such as leaking, or the packaging and formulation react with each other result in melting.
